Founder and principal of PKM Design Group, Inc. with over 25 years of experience in Colorado as a landscape architect in public and private sectors. Ms. Miers has worked on a variety of projects including streetscape redevelopments, visual analysis for mountain highway and recreation projects, landscape and irrigation for parks, transportation corridors, wetlands, trails, NEPA documentation and interpretive master plans. She was the former regional service center director for the Rocky Mountain Region of the USDA Forest Service, managing the design of regional recreation projects in a 5-state area. She developed an interagency agreement with the BLM, NPS, USF&W and BOR to share resources on a variety of recreation projects during her seven-year tenure with the federal government. Her current clients include University of Colorado, City of Boulder, City of Westminster, CDOT Regions 1, 4 and 5, E-470 Public Highway Authority, Wyoming Department of Transportation and University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. She received her Bachelor's of Landscape Architecture from Kansas State University in 1980,is a registered landscape architect in Kansas, Wyoming and Utah, and a member of American Society of Landscape Architects.
Mr. Schrader has over 20 years of professional experience in interdisciplinary environmental planning and design for the public sector, specializing in natural resource management, stream protection and restoration. He has conducted several visual inventories and analysis for transportation corridors in Colorado and Wyoming utilizing visual management systems developed by the USDA Forest Service, FHWA and the BLM. He performs wetland delineation and mapping as a certified wetlands delineator and has developed mitigation plans for several major transportation corridor projects in the Rocky Mountain region. He is a certified arborist, a member of the International Society of Arborists, member of the Wetland Scientists Society and the International Society of Landscape Ecology.
Deborah James is an associate landscape architect and certified wetlands delineator with PKM Design Group, Inc. responsible for visual inventory and analysis, including the preparation of visual simulations and other supporting graphics. Ms. James has worked on a variety of planting and irrigation designs, visual inventory and analysis projects and stormwater management plans. Some of her recent projects include: visual inventory and analysis with photo simulations for the Pinedale Anticline (BLM property) Oil and Gas Exploration for Questar, and the SH 119 EIS visual inventory and analysis for the Colorado Department of Transportation. She has a Bachelor's of Landscape Architecture from Kansas State University and is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects.
